General Motors India's August 2010 Sales show an impressive growth of 34% at 7941 units

General Motors India has registered an impressive growth of 34% in sales in August 2010

, compared to the corresponding period last year. The company has managed to sell 7941 units for the month of August 2010 against 5939 units that it sold last August 2009.

2481 units of the Chevrolet Spark 2475 units of Chevrolet Beat 1438 units of the Chevrolet Tavera 724 units of the Chevrolet Cruze 325 Units of Chevrolet Aveo 240 units of Chevrolet Aveo U-VA 176 units of the Chevrolet Captiva 82 units of Chevrolet Optra.

Off late General Motors India is in top form thanks to its best seller Beat along with the Cruze and the Spark that are also selling very well in their segments. General Motors' model Chevrolet Spark has been constantly registering impressive sales.

Mr. P. Balendran, Vice President, GM India said that General Motors was very excited by the continued overwhelming response to Chevrolet Beat, Spark and Cruze. He also added that with the introduction of best-in-segment cars from the 300 series, increase in customer outreach through distribution network, GM's unique value proposition like Chevrolet Cashless Ownership offer and company's promise to deliver quality and performance are the factors that have led to the impressive sales. Also noteworthy is that the Chevrolet brand has completed seven years in the Indian market.

The company had to increase its production by beginning its second shifts at Halol and Talegaon plants.
