Advertisements misled consumers to believe General Steel metal buildings are manufactured by the company. Consumers were misled to believe they were purchasing buildings ready for shipment and erection.

General Steel claimed they perform all engineering of General Steel buildings purchased by consumers. Not only that, they claim to own storage facilities and to have a component manufacturing facility. They also claim to sell clearance General Steel buildings.

Most of General Steel claims in their advertisements are false according to the Colorado Attorney General. General Steel claimed they are the manufacturer of the General Steel buildings. Actually they have no production of any type of steel building.

In reality General Steel is in an office building with a telephone salesroom. That is not the picture of a manufacturer company with ready made General Steel buildings. They own no manufacturing or fabrication plants.

Consumers claim through telephone sales they were purchasing clearance General Steel metal buildings. They were told they can save allot of money. General Steel has no clearance buildings.

General Steel usually sells steel and metal buildings that are ordered by them from manufacturers of steel buildings. The company has been doing this type of work since 1997. The entity supposedly purchases the building once the deposit is received.

That is not how the advertisements read or sound. Some advertisements led customers to think they were buying a ready to ship and ready to erect building from General Steel. That is impossible without a production plant.

Consumers were charged outrageous fees for storing their General Steel building. General Steel deceived various consumers to store their building. There was no building to store because the company doesnt have a storage facility.
