Another tradition that makes our children happy on Christmas is the family gatherings. Our children feel the excitement flows thinking that they are going to see their uncle from a distance or get to know a new cousin or look forward to being with grandma. Children love to spend time with their favorite uncles or aunties and playing with their cousins whom they've only see on special occasions. They want to mingle and play, just like we enjoy chatting over coffee with friends and relatives.

During family gathering, it is nice to initiate some games that children can enjoy and win some prizes. Children love challenges especially if there are rewards at the end of the game. It also develops their sportsmanship and helps them become a better person too, not to mention the bond it creates towards the other member of the family.

A special dinner on Christmas Eve also makes our children happy. They get to eat their favorite foods and then more sweets. Preparing a special home dish adds to the anticipation of Christmas. At this time, they also enjoy chatting with the family after dinner and they anticipate the arrival of Santa for their gifts. They are eagerly waiting for the exchanging of gifts.

Children feel exceptionally happy when they receive Santa calls. This makes them feel warm and important. The feeling of "Santa did not forget me this year" makes the season more special and splendid.
