It is common knowledge that the end of days is soon upon us

. The Mayan calendar is winding down to a close at the end of this year, and all hell is sure to break loose at the end of 2012. Do not think you can get out of it either. Nostradamus even predicted the end of the world, and people say that he was spot on about a lot of other stuff. With the apocalypse coming there is a lot to prepare for. Zombies, alien space bats, asteroids, earthquakes, locusts, you name it its coming for you and a generator can help in a variety of situations.

First things first, power lines are going to be down and electricity as we have become accustomed will be a thing of a past. An alternative energy source will be a much needed commodity in the end of days.

Head on a Swivel: An ample supply of fuel and powerful generators will keep you safe and comfortable while the world collapses around you. Lighting will be your greatest ally as the darkness surrounds, and lamps and candles can only do so much. Construction lights run off of generators will keep your eyes sharp.

Run the hoses from a water source and pump the water right to where you need it.

Stay Relaxed: With the immense amounts of tension and stress piling up from losing your friends, defending your goods, and just trying to survive you will still need to find ways to relax. While using precious fuel to power a TV set, radio, stereo, chair massager, whatever your electronic vice is the electric power supplied from the gas guzzling friend will keep you from going insane.

While a generator might not be your main focus for the march of the Four Horsemen, do not let it slip your mind too much. By helping to provide light to protect your shelter, electricity to power any of the useful appliances that may be salvageable, power to defend your shelter by providing a dangerous current to intruders, or simply by offering a means to stay calm through this great ordeal, a generator will pay for itself ten times over when December 22, 2012 arrives.
