Generous and Empathetic Lord Krishna

Vasudevar and Devaki (the sibling of cruel ruler Kansa) are Krishna's parents. Prior to Lord Krishna's birth, Narada forebodes that Devaki's eighth child will put an end to the cruel rule of Kansa. Kansa, after finding out about this prediction, imprisons them and murders all 7 kids immediately after they took birth. But, Vasudevar takes the help of Gods and takes Krishna to Vrindavan, to his companion's home. In Vrindavan, Krishna spends his childhood as a normal kid, taken care by Yashoda, amongst other cowherds.

Stories Related to His Childhood.

It is thought that Kansa had sent many evil forces to kill Krishna however none of them succeeded in their attempts. A serpent in the river Yamuna was won over by Little Krishna, which was going to poison the river and kill cows and people of Vrindavan. Krishna danced Kaaliya's head after jumping from Kadamba tree.

Krishna shows his playfulness by stealing butter from milkmaids' houses and teasing them. He let the cows go loose at the time of milking and hides dresses when Gopis take bath. He intended to make his devotees conscious of the larger meanings hidden behind these naughty practices. He meant to inform people that the only real power is him and they must get detached from all their material acquisitions.

Lord Krishna and His Companion to Radha

Radha was one of the milkmaids of Vrindavan and both Krishna and Radha played together. Their relation is the reflection of selfless love and passion. Their relationship is sacred in all aspects as it is the mental union that they give importance to. Radha is so dedicated to Lord Krishna that she thinks about him as her own. She even gets jealous of Krishna's flute, expressing that the flute is lucky to be very close to Krishna and feel Krishna's prana on it.

Krishna and Sudhama

When studying in Gurukula, Sudhama was Krishna's closest friend and associate. Krishna's love for Kuchela like a friend was more precious than social status and he accepted Kuchela fully.

Sudhama belonged to a poor family and once he thought to see Krishna and goes to Dwaraka. He takes a small pack of rice for Krishna, which is liked by him. When he reaches Dwaraka, he is awe struck seeing the big palace and army of his companion. He decides to head back, that is when Lord Krishna sees him and invites him to his palace. Sudhama was treated well by Krishna, in his home.

Sudhama, shy to ask for help, goes back without saying a word about his poverty. But Krishna realized his companion's needs and helped him. Sudhama knew the goodness of his friend after he reached home. He saw that his family was having good food and family members were wearing new clothes.
