they get a look at the Mercedes-Benz F800 Style concept car which has styling that will cause a stir.

The next CLS-Class sedan has a grille that mimics that of the SLS AMG. For a sci-fi touch and a better look at the sleek interior, the rear doors are sliders. The flexible powertrain platform and the plug-in hybrid system, similar to that of the V-6 light-hybrid found in the S400 sedan, will capture the interest of green-minded buyers. The plug-in gas-electric system which provides over 400 combine horsepower gives the car sole EV range of 18 miles.

Seating five, this luxurious sedan sports an interior filled with intelligent seating, operating and display concepts. The drive unit consists of a V6 gasoline engine with 300 hp and next-generation direct injection. The hybrid module has an output 109 hp delivering 409 hp with lithium-ion battery storage capacity at 10k. The battery can be recharged at a charging station or with household power socket. The F800 Style can run solely on electricity, producing zero emissions.

Heading into James Bond territory, the new cam touchpad HMI records video images of the users hand as it works the pad located on the center console. A transparent image of the hand appears on the central display above the console allowing the menu to remain visible as the user operates the system. Finger movements such as pushing, turning, wiping and zooming are picked up by the HMI cam and enable climate control, phone, navigation system, stereo and internet access. The ease of use provides for safety in operating all of these features. Best of all the touchpad is fingerprint-resistant.
