. That is exactly why Ive been a proud Mercedes owner for the last ten years. When it comes to luxury driving, there really is no contender on the market. Sure, youve got your Lexuses (Lexi?) and BMWs, but I cant imagine driving either of them over a Mercedes. Geneva Mercedes drivers know what Im talking about, right? Im talking about power. Im talking about handling. Im talking about style. Im talking about comfort, reliability and dependability. But most of all, Im talking about performance.

Now, we finally get a first look at the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class independent of the Geneva Motor Show, and it looks like she is going to be a beaut. Some spy shots were taken in Germany (much to the excitement of your Chicago Mercedes dealer), and the big two-door coupe model may be re-designated as the S-Coupe when it finally hits U.S. showrooms towards the end of the year. After flipping through the pics, Geneva Mercedes dealers are foaming at the mouth in anticipation of this grand new vehicle.

The CL-Class benefits from many of the same changes you can see in the new S-Class sedan. On the front end, your Chicago Mercedes dealer will find new headlamp, bonnet and bumper designs. A more pointed and tapering front grille with two horizontal bars gives the new CL-Class a little more edge, while mandatory LED daytime running lights keep safety and reliability as an important part of the driving platform. Any Geneva Mercedes driver in the market for a new car should wait and check out the new CL-Class when it hits showroom floors before the end of the year.

According to the report at Carscoop, The exterior door mirrors are also new, as are the alloy wheel designs. At the back, we find new LED tail lights plus an additional set of lights flanking the license plate area, and a restyled rear bumper with newly shaped exhaust pipes. On top of all this, it looks like the new vehicle will add a bunch of new gadgets and upgrades to the interior of the car, and your Chicago Mercedes dealer cant wait to see them. Its likely they wont have much of a chance to check them out until this summer, when Mercedes loosens its hold on the details of the car.

We expect that the engine options will remain the same, but why mess with a good thing? Like all Mercedes models, the CL-Class is expected to be high-performing and powerful two of my favorite features in a new car. My hands are aching to grab a hold of the wheel and listen to the new CL-Class purr like a kitten for me. Like all area car fanatics, I will have to be patient and wait for my chance. But it will be soon, and I can taste it.
