Get Away From The Indoor Attractions In The Uk This Summer And Take In The Country's Astounding Beau

With the summer well underway and the country's attractions about to become booming

once the school holidays begin in the next few weeks, the entire tourist industry in the UK is about to reach it's annual peak.

And with such glorious weather forecast (an article posted on the ICM website in March of this year predicted, amongst other things, a warmer than average summer and looking at their early summer predictions, they have generally come true so far), it makes for the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors.

Why, then, do so many people think they have to spend their time indoors to enjoy themselves?

No one is doubting that some of the best tourist attractions in the UK are inside buildings - looking at London, almost all of the major attractions are inside, whether you're looking at the museums or musicals - but if the sky is filled with sun and the weather warm, surely these attractions are best left to the times of year when it's not as attractive outside?

Therefore, if you're thinking about ditching the indoor attractions for something a little more open this summer, it's time to start looking at what exactly you can do.

And it all depends on how much time and money you have to spend.

For instance, if you live in London and were planning on spending your one day off work in the Imperial War Museum and then heading to the London Dungeons, you obviously won't have time to head to the coast for a long, relaxing break by the sea.

You will, however, have enough time to prepare yourself a picnic and take a relaxing stroll to Hyde Park, where you can sit and soak up the sun all day, whilst reading a book and nibbling at your picnic.

If you do have more time to spare, though, then you really need to consider a visit the Lake District.

Located in the North West part of the country, the Lake District is a National Park that encompasses around 100 separate lakes, dozens of hills and mountains and miles upon miles of beautiful scenery that is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Thousands of tourists - not only from the UK but from across the globe - visit the Lake District each year. Some go for the openness that the area offers, allowing them to walk for miles without being disturbed; others go for the fantastic fishing or calming water sports and just as many to go and enjoy the entire surroundings of the Lake District - a part of the UK that is beautifully quaint and stunningly tranquil.

The UK boasts attractions to suit everyone, irrelevant of what their personal interests may be, with most of the sights being open the year round. It can be tempting to simply visit the ones you find most interesting when planning your summer days out, but try and include in your plan more that are outdoors - the UK has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and so when you can enjoy it most throughout the summer months, you should take every opportunity you have to do so.
