At the end of the third season, the eldest of the sisters dies and from the start of the fourth the remaining two, Piper and Phoebe get acquainted with a step sister of theirs called Paigewho happens to have extraordinary powers as well. She is slowly developed into a practicing witch after she is accepted by the two sisters into the magical fold. Paige also learns and adopts the powers of telekinesis.
