Get More Music Videos On Satellite Tv In Nashville
In Nashville, a music industry hotspot, many music fans and musicians themselves
have noticed a dwindling trend over the last few years, that of the music video. Sometime in the 1990s fans of Music Television noticed that channels like MTV and VH1 which were supposed to be focused around this art form began changing their programming. The high ratings they were getting from filler programming or reality shows like The Real World, or Road Rules, made these channels executives lick their lips at the possibilities, and the world of regular series on such channels was born. While some of this programming was fine in moderation, many people preferred the regular old videos. By the late 90s the actual medium of the music video had been squeezed so far out of the regular lineup that additional channels had to be created that were specifically focused on showing the video. As such, more and more artists shied away from making music videos. If nobody was turning their satellite TV on to music video channels anymore, then what was the point?
Today, there is finally an answer to that what is the point question when it comes to music videos, and MTV and VH1 have very little to do with it. The public is speaking and saying that music videos are still something it wants to watch, as evidenced by the amount of time they are spending watching music videos online! Websites where people can stream music videos any time they want get hundreds of thousands of hits on all kinds of music videos, and many bands even gain wildly in popularity as a result. Of course MTV and VH1 have their own websites, but their opportunity to provide the world with this great art form has somewhat passed on by. Today, people have found their own way to access music via the web.
With the high definition quality of many images on the computer screen, more and more people are looking to the internet for music video entertainment. Of course, those with services like satellite TV are able to watch music videos right on the small screen because they have all the alternative music video channels already, but cable users for example are just plain out of luck. With the internet around, however, theres not much that people cant gain access to these days.
The news is good all around for people who like music videos, whether you have satellite TV or not. Bands are competing to get more and more creative with their music videos again, because the quality will automatically have online users clicking next to see what else is coming up behind it. Artists today want to grab your attention right away with plot lines, celebrity power, and great special effects that look amazing in high definition right on your computer screen. If youd given up on the worth of the music video, it might be time to take another look. If you have the right channels, simply turn on the TV, or go online to see whats going on in Nashville, Hollywood, New York, and every other music video location out there globally!
