In big cities like New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, the buzz of the big city lifestyle might seem romantic to a younger college student who cannot wait to get out into the real world. With that said, grown ups who are grizzled veterans of an "all go, no stop" workforce would more or less describe this type of place as a prison at times.

In a city that never sleeps, the people and families that live in the area near down town never sleep either, the pace never slows for relaxation, and it seems as if the world will not relent, even for a second.

For those of you who have your own families and live within one of these global mega cities that I've just described, escape is as important as any type of excursion that you may be planning.

Honestly, carrying out a trip like this is pretty easy. In a large Northern California city, the Bay Area for instance, even the San Francisco transportation situation seems to be against you with endless traffic, awkward one way streets, and parking fines that haunt you every time you try to go out with your family.

In all reality, this shouldn't be that difficult at all. Advise the kids and the wife that they should make sure to clear up their schedules for this weekend, take the batteries our of their phones, and head to the nearest resort and set up the grill. If this type of event is not rehab for the soul of the family, then I don't know what is.

Call a limo service, have everybody wear something comfortable, take turns picking destinations and enjoy your time together as a family.

The parents can have a taste of the adult beverages and the children can sip on sodas and juices. The whole "day long vacation" will turn out to be stress free since limo services usually provide door front pick up and drop off, so you can be sure to avoid traffic, tolls, parking, and everything else.

From the vineyards to the beach and out to eat somewhere fun, this type of experience allows a young family to escape the big city and simply enjoy each other.

Adults love being stress free and seeing there kids experience something new, kids love road trips and being in a cool limousine, and families love being together on a fun adventure into the unknown.
