But more and more of us think that there will come a day when we can patent an idea and have that bring us wealth.
Sounds nice, huh.
Imagine yourself having patented an idea that you could actually sell...how wild would that be? Imagine that you could receive residual income for life for the development of this patent...that is just so cool.
It's intoxicating to think of all the incredible ideas that are about to need a patent on them. Letting yourself dream that it might be you is just fun.
When you go to patent an idea, you will need to start with a detailed patent search. There are a few people that I know that have actually created patents and now they are what I would call celebrities in their own right.
It may come as a bit of different way to look at it, but many of the smartest inventors do not go out and try to recreate the wheel, they would rather improve a patent that already exists knowing that the market is already there.
If you are forunate enough to patent an idea, you may right away wish to sell that patent and there are those people that specialize in making that happen.
The big point is that being able to patent an idea is a very large deal and you can accomplish anything from becoming famous to becoming rich from a patent if you hit the sweet spot of what the market is looking for and what the US Patent Office will approve as a new patent.
