I've effectively used this technique on Squidoo for the last year or so, and have also found that the principal is the same for HubPages too, so have started using it there too. This traffic generating principal is based around tag pages, which are used by both sites. You can see tag on every page on both sites, so go and take a look at what they are. Tag pages are a listing of all HubPages hubs / Squidoo lenses that use that tag or keyword.

Tags are more commonly know as keywords, or search terms - they are used to describe the content of a lens or hub. Having test this technique successfully on Squidoo, a test was done on HubPages, and this generated the same substantial amount of traffic. This in turn generated sales for my affiliate product and revenue for me.

Many tag pages on HubPages and Squidoo are very well ranked in Google - many are around Google Page Rank 6 and appear on the first page of Google for their keywords. If you can just add that Tag Page to your hub or lens, it will be listed there and you can start generating traffic very quickly.

This is a simple tip to get extra exposure and traffic to your hub or lens for free. This is very effective at getting increased traffic and popularity to your page so that you too can appear on that coveted first page for that specific tag. If there are only a few listings for your keyword, then you have a much greater chance of getting highly ranked.
