The most overlooked method is writing a hand written letter. Today everything is instant, but it also means the person you are trying to contact can easily block your form of message.

The hand written letter posted in the mail will come as a total surprise, he will quickly sort the junk mail (into the bin), bills and then curiosity will get him to open your letter.

In your letter if you simply agree with the breakup, that is when you will plant the seeds of doubt in his mind.

Sit back and wait for him to contact you. You will be surprised how quickly he will.
