First on the track will be Myer Fashion on the Field which is the final of Australia's most prestigious fashion competition; state finals are held from February through to October in Tasmania, South Australia, NSW, Queensland and Western Australia with the Victoria winner selected at the Carnival itself. The quest is to find Australia's most glamorous and stylishly dressed women.

Men are not excluded with the best of the dandy's on show on Derby Day for the Men's Race-wear section.

Categories include Race-wear, Design Award, Millinery Award

Judging is based on style and originality, attention to detail, appropriateness for the event & climate, grooming and deportment and interpretation of current fashion trends.

Prizes

There is a shopping list of luxury items for the lucky winners, these include a 12 month contract for a Lexus RX350, a luxury trip to the Hong King International Races, gift cards for Myers worth $6000 and $4k watches plus lots more vouchers, tickets luggage and fine wines.
