Use people you already know such as friends and family who work for the NHS or other big healthcare companies. Getting recommended by someone who's already in-house is a great way to set up an interview.

Before an interview it's vital you research the company you've applied to. A simple Google search will typically offer enough results to get you informed. Using some relevant information during the interview to show youve familiarised yourself with the business is also a good idea.

Although sending off your CV countless times and continually searching for jobs can be a thankless task you should ensure your CV is spell-checked and typo free with proper English used throughout it. This attention to detail will reflect well on you and could be the difference between getting an interview and not.

Research Yourself

Approximately 75% of companies require their recruiters to do online research of applicants which means you should Google yourself in order to know what they'll find. If there is any damaging information then try your best to get it removed.

Be Professional

Although appearances aren't exactly everything, the way you present yourself is essential, especially because your image will be their very first impression of you. Dress professionally, be polite, speak articulately and carry yourself with confidence. An interview is your time to shine.

Be Enthusiastic

Being enthusiastic when meeting potential employers is vital. You should focus on the employer and demonstrate how you're the ideal candidate for that particular role. Make sure they know that they are you first choice and its that company specifically you want to work for, this is where researching their business comes in handy.
