Getting Exposure In More Ways Than One

Advertising has always been seen as a primary way to generate company exposure to the general public

. Some companies advertising budgets are huge; however, for smaller companies that budget may be minimal and maximizing their advertising dollars is critical. An alternative to high cost ad placement in a magazine or paper is to be a sponsor for a community function or team. Companies need to branch out and discover various ways to promote their product or services other than using the traditional methods.

Often times this path will be easier and more cost effective. Economic times have forced many budget cut within various areas of the community. When a company can provide a community organization with something they need and gain local recognition, that's a win -win situation. It always establishes a sense of good will for the company providing the items. These items when ordered in bulk cost less and have just as big an impact as an ad in the paper. Unless, you keep running the ad continuously, it is a one time shot. In using promotional advertising, those items are used and seen for a much longer period of time.

Some teams have a need for bags to carry equipment. Football players could each use a large logo duffle bag. It makes the team look good to all have matching bags and the company logo on these will get the business plenty of recognition. When items like these are purchased in bulk it makes them less expensive. Sports teams could also use plastic reusable sports bottles and of course colorful caps are always great.

There are so many local organizations needing sponsorship. Just look around and think outside the box on ways to benefit both the community and the reputation of your company. How about building a local playground for the YMCA? Logos can be placed on each apparatus as well as on a dedication plaque. How about supplying a park bench with your logo? Every time someone goes to sit down they are viewing your logo displayed on the back of the bench.

Other places that would be very appreciative of donated items are those that have meetings and are always in need of supplies. 12-step support groups are usually big consumers of coffee, which means they would be very happy to be given a nice box of logo mugs. Community learning centers would be greatly appreciative of pencils and pens. All of which would make your company look great.
