The sun can also damage your hair. One way to help combat sun damage is to keep your hair moist during extended stays in direct sunlight. This moisture will be evaporated rather than having the moisture sucked from your hair. Using scarves or hats is another way to protect your hair from the sun.

Chemical treatments are very hard on your hair. Perms and coloring treatments not only damage the hair but cause damage to the hair follicles, as well.
