If you are travelling by car, the M62 motorway connects Liverpool with Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Hull, whilst also merging onto both the M6 and M1 motorways which provides a link to further cities such as Birmingham, Nottingham and even London. The network rail provides a web of connections to other cities, with London to Lime Street Station only being a mere 2 hours, eight minutes in journey time.

There are more unusual ways of getting into Liverpool. Liverpool John Lennon Airport, located in the south has direct air flights across the UK and even Europe if you are thinking of coming from afar. There are various Liverpool airport hotels circling the airport to provide rooms for night stays. Liverpool Airport provides services for up to 68 different destinations. However, obviously with Liverpool being a port also, and actually being one of Britains largest, ferry services from Dublin, Belfast and the Isle of Man across the Irish Sea are also available.

Once inside Liverpool, the public transportation is easy and accessible to ensure you can get from one end of the city to another without much difficulty. Local buses are run by several different companies, but there are two main terminals where buses begin and finish: Queen Square Bus Station, which is located close to the Lime Street Railway station and Liverpool One Bus Station. The Mersey Ferry links up Liverpool pier with Birkenhead and Wallasey at 20 minute intervals during peak hours. This is important if you are considering visiting the Wirral area.

Travelling around Liverpool is no feat. Be sure to book a cheap hotel Liverpool centre and then you will not have to worry about squeezing this amazing and dynamic city in one single day. For a city that has such exuberance and measure, its transport links will not fail you. Prepare to succumb to the Scouse spell and fall in love with Liverpool.
