Getting Rid Of Mild Pain Using A Generic Darvocet

? Do you want relief? Generic Darvocet is used to relieve mild to moderate pain with or without fever. Darvocet contains a combination of propoxyphene and acetaminophen. Propoxyphene is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever and a fever reducer that increases the effects of propoxyphene.

Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor. It may be taken with food if stomach upset occurs; however, the drug may not work as well. Darvocet-N is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain, with or without fever. Do not take Darvocet-N if you are suicidal or addiction prone, or if you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to propoxyphene or acetaminophen.

Tell your doctor about all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal medications you are taking before beginning treatment with Darvocet-N. Make sure your doctor knows if you are taking tranquilizers, sleep aids, antidepressants, antihistamines, or any other drug that make you sleepy. The use of these drugs with propoxyphene increases their sedative effects and may lead to overdose symptoms, including death. Also, talk to your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have kidney or liver problems, if you use alcohol in excess, or if you are suicidal or addiction prone.
