If you are currently hoping to get your ex back after experiencing a breakup, you must understand that there are some things, which you should try. If you are the reason for the breakup you should ensure that your ex knows how sincerely sorry you are for what you may have done. This should be performed while allowing your ex to know how much you still care for them but you must not assume anything at this stage of the breakup phase. In determining if you want to get your ex back, you should tread very thin lines during this period.

If you are not the reason for the breakup and your still want your ex back while displaying honestly with your ex in telling them of your feelings you still contain, this is basically all you can do at this point. If your ex does not reciprocate these feelings then I would advise you to consider moving on with your life.

If you wronged your ex in anyway, even if they come back, there will be major trust issues to deal with from both parties. If you know that your ex is no longer interested in reconciling, you must accept the fact that you will only be wasting your time while more than likely driving your ex crazy with your antics. In order for your ex to change their mind, there are many things, which must happen first. If these things do not happen then any futile chance of getting your ex, back will only result in both of you being unhappy.

You must realize that your ex has to convince him or herself if there is any chance of coming back and reconciling. You will not be the sole reason in getting your ex to change their mind in trying to get them back. Do not waste your time trying to discuss for endless hours on why the relationship ended, the fact is, the relationship did indeed end. If you want your ex back, you must respect their wishes while giving them space. Let them make the best decision for themselves but be prepared, this could go either way, your ex may come back or your ex may not come back, regardless, you must respect the decision your ex makes.

You should focus on yourself while making the much-needed changes within your own life. If you find that within a couple of months that even with the new changes in your life that you are still alone without your ex, it is more than likely time to move on. This is not an easy task but you have to try to move on with your life while exploring the numerous possibilities which face you as you enter into the journey without your ex coming back to you. I do believe we have all been there but you have to discover that staying too long within one place can actually become quite boring. Lives are about living and if your ex does not want to hop on the train, which you are embarking, leave them behind while wishing them well within their life. Getting your ex back is something you are more than likely truly hoping for but you must understand that your ex may not be on the same page as you at this time. If this is very well the case, you must accept this fact and move on with your life as compared to continually trying to get your ex back.

Some people while experiencing a failed relationship decide to surround themselves with different surroundings. They go on vacations or decide to spend time with their family and friends. This is called separating yourself from the situation at hand and very well may be exactly what your ex needs to view in order to want you back. Keep in mind that just because your ex wants you back that you do not have to take them back.

Ultimately, you have to make the choice, which is best for you. Do you really want to get your ex back? This is a judgment call that needs to be carefully analyzed. If you are truly ok with the breakup or have realized that it was not your fault for the breakup, then you might consider fishing in different waters because as you know, there are more fish in the sea and more than likely fish that will not continually hurt you.
