Getting Your Ex Girlfriend Back - Tips That Should Be Avoided

As much as people mean well, a lot of the relationship advice that you are probably

going to receive from friends that you know and family members may not be worth listening to. I say that because when you look at all of the statistics related to marriages, relationships, and happiness... most people have not really gotten it right. So, there are some tips for getting back your ex girlfriend that you are going to want to avoid, even if they sound like they may work.

A common misconception about relationships is the idea that if it was meant to be, then it would work out. That idea sounds good and all, but you can point to so many situations where that really does not seem to be the case, that you can kind of get the idea that maybe it's not all that it is cracked up to be. This is just one example of the many cliche bits of advice that people get about relationships that sound good in theory, but are not really all that true when you look a bit deeper.

Anyways, here are a couple more tips that you should avoid if you want to get your girlfriend back:

1) Stay away from writing her long love letters or poems if you are not the writing type.

Writing poems and love letters may work alright if you are skilled with words. If you are not, then they really won't do much for you. Besides, in today's day and age, most women are more likely to throw out any love letter that an ex boyfriend sends them. If they don't throw it away and they do actually read it, it usually still won't have much of an effect on changing her mind.

2) Don't heed the advice of anyone that tells you that it would be wrong for you to date someone else.

Look, there is no reason to think that you should be totally devoted to your ex girlfriend, especially if she was the one that broke up with you. Fact is, you are single now and free to date whomever you want to. And if you think that this will make her think less of you, most of the time you would be wrong. I'll admit that there probably are some women who would get ticked if they found out their ex boyfriend wanted them back and was freely dating, but most will not.
