Getting through the devastating effects of dilaudid can be difficult
.
Dilaudid was invented in Germany in 1926 and was produced in mass quantities. The actual drug is called hydromorphone and can be found in many generic forms and trade names around the world a few of the most popular arePalladone, Hydrostat, and Opidol. Now one nees to bear in mind when using these medications like dilaudid these drugs all addicting.
Palladone could be found in the U. S. for a short time in the extended release form that is until it was voluntarily removed due to many reports of patient overdose.
Dilaudid is being prescribed in great numbers these days for the treatment of moderate to very severe pain. It is said that many countries other than the U. S. like to use this drug for chronic pain. I know for a fact that it is used to treat cancer patients due to its pain relieving qualities.
Dilaudid also has a high tendency for abuse and dilaudid addiction it seems many heroin addicts like this drug; if fact it is claimed that it is rather easy for addicts to get when they find it difficult to find good heroin.
There are many people who take advantage of this because diladid sells for a hefty price. What some people are doing is what I refer to as doctor shopping. Doctor shopping is when a person goes to several different Dr's. and fains some type of pain and tells the physician that they have taken dilaudid in the past for pain and that it helped ease there pain.
That's pretty easy and if they do this a few times they will have a nice little income. The only drawback is that if they get busted for sales of dilaudid it carries the same amount of prison time as sales of heroin.
If you happen to be abusing this drug and think you may indeed have a dilaudid addiction it is possible to stop using dilaudid. To do this I would suggest that you go to drug addiction treatment. There you can be medically detoxed from dilaudid without the fear of withdrawal because you will be given prescription medications to help any discomfort.
I also suggest that when you complete this that you continue on in residential treatment so you can learn how not to return to using dilaudid again.
Good luck
