Give First, Receive Later In Network Marketing
Is it better to be a giver or receiver? Most altruistic people will say giver
. Fortunately, when building your business with a network marketing company, the same holds true. Network marketing is a people business. Most people will join your enterprise because they know, like and trust you. They will join you because they see you as a leader. People typically buy you; it is less about the product or service your network marketing company offers. People will join your team because they see you as a giver. You care about other people and their success.
Be a giver as you are building your team. Give to people not because you want them to join your team, but because you want to assist them. As you network with people, participate in events in your community, go to your day job or your extracurricular activities, or find something of value that you can share with others. It could be something as simple as a tip you got from your accountant that you know would benefit others. It could be free tickets to an upcoming event. It could be a book that you know someone would enjoy reading. Give them an e-newsletter.
What you give does not have to relate specifically to your business. In fact, it should not be only about your business because then people will pull away from your "aggressive sales tactics". Get into the habit of giving value to other people. They will eventually start to see you as a leader, as someone who is knowledgeable, someone they can learn from, someone they may want to work with.
Be a giver within your network marketing company community. Maybe this means just give of your time. You may not have much else to give if you are new. Volunteer to assist at company events. Come early and stay late to help out. The leaders in your community will see you, get to know you, and in turn be likely to assist you in building your enterprise because you are willing to give your time to the community. They will be able to genuinely speak highly of you to your guests that you bring to events and share with them how great of a leader you truly are. You will close more sales this way.
Be a giver with your team that you build. Give them an allotted amount of time daily or weekly. Give them your knowledge and business tips. Give them motivation to be persistent and diligent with their activities and mental fortitude. Give them your strength when they are weak and frustrated. Give them the tools to build their own team and to be independent in their enterprise.
The more you give, the more you receive. It is a natural law of the universe. Get in the habit of giving to others and you will see your sales within your network marketing company grow. People are drawn to genuinely, generous leaders. Become one and watch your business and lifestyle transform.
