The days are flying by, I still remember my dad dropping me off for my first day at secondary school, I was so nervous but my dad calmed me down and reassured me that I will not get my head flushed down the toilet by the bigger boys. Throughout my life my dad has been there for me, I've been lucky to have my dad around, a lot of my friends have had to do without. He's been there to praise me when I've done well, he's told me off when I've done wrong and he's given me sound advice when I needed it. My dad always made sure me and my brother had everything we needed, we weren't spoilt we respected what we had and knew how to live without if we had to. My dad is going to retire next year; he's worked his whole life and never been unemployed for more than a few weeks. He has worked hard and earned every penny with honour and honesty, he tells me he is content with what he has achieved in life and that his children are his legacy. The wife and I have decided to buy my dad a retirement gift, my dad has always dreamt of owning a brand new car but circumstances never did allow him to buy one. I've decided to buy him a brand new car, as a thank you from me for making it possible for me to earn what I am and provide well for my family. I've ordered a new Mondeo with Ford car leasing in Kent, I pick it up this weekend and can't wait to surprise my dad!
