Slumped tiles: Slumped tiles are made by melting the flat glass enough to give a curve surface to a tile. Slumped tile designs range from dramatic to subtle.

Smalti tiles: They are opaque, colorful small tiles used to make mosaics. Smalti word originates from Italian that refers to a glaze or paste made up of silica subjected to high temperatures. These kinds of tiles are weather resistant, stain-resistant and are comparatively easy to cut.

Cast tiles: This is a kind of recycled tile that is made by placing small pieces in a mould and firing them to melt and fuse. They give an appearance of a precious stone and are available in different colors.

Sintered tiles: These scratch-proof and durable tiles are made by placing glass powder in the mould and heating till the powder is fused to glass tiles. Color particles are either added before firing or topically after the cooling to get different results. Sintered tiles have a uniform look and are known for their versatility.

Selection & installation

Glass tiles are timeless and can go with all kind of bathroom spaces either big or small. You can check out from so many motifs and patterns and designs available in the market. Since glass tiles are little expensive so you may not want to use it all over the place. Better is to use it over vanity walls, backsplash, washbasins tops, bathtub surroundings or highlighting corners to add pizzazz to the space.
