1. The length of the sides of a triangle is 21 cm, 30 cm and 41 cm. Find the area and perimeter of the triangle.
Solution:

Here 2s = a + b + c
= 21 + 30 + 41
= 92.
s = 46, s a = 46 21 = 25
s b = 46 30 = 16, s c = 46 41 = 5.
Area = 46 * 25 * 16 * 5 = 303.31sq.cm.
Perimeter = a + b + c
= 21 + 30 + 41
= 92 cm
2. If the perimeter of a rhombus is 40 cm. Then one of the diagonals of length is 12 cm. Find another diagonal length and the area of the rhombus.
Solution:

Let d1 and d2 be the diagonals' length.
Then perimeter = 2d12 + d22.
But the perimeter is 40 cm.
2d12 + d22. = 40 cm or d12 + d22= 100.
Here one of the diagonals is of 12 cm length.
Take d1 = 12. Then 64 + d22 = 100 or d22 = 36.
d2 = 6 cm.
The area of the rhombus is 1 / 2 (d1 d2) = 1/ 2 12 6
= 36 cm2.
3. Find the area and perimeter of square when the side length is 6cm.
Solution:
Area of square = (side * side)
= 6 * 6
= 36cm2
Perimeter of square = 6 * side
Answer = 4 * 6
4. Find the area and perimeter of rectangle with length 8cm, width 2 cm.
Solution:

= 8 * 2
=16cm2
Perimeter of rectangle =2 (Length + width)
=2 (8 + 2)
Answer = 20cm
5. Find the area and circumference of the circle when the radius is 7cm.
Solution:

= 3.14 * 7 * 7
= 153.86cm2
Circumference = 2 * pi * r
= 2 * 3.14 * 7
Answer = 43.96cm.
