All good things must come to an end and if the end is memorable and has lasting impression, then it is worth all the efforts. The mega show, BIG Bal Kalakaar, the first ever platform to acknowledge the singing prowess of young talented bal kalakaars from the heartlandUP, MP, Bihar & Jharkhand- is set to hold its grand finale. The first ever soul stirring Devotional Singing Reality TV show, for children, received overwhelming response from the region and was the most watched show for the last few months since it premiered on the channel. Presented by BIG MAGIC and 92.7 BIG FM, the first of its kind show was not just entertaining but also imbibed the rich values of culture& traditions, sangeet mein sanskaar, among children. The grand finale filled with glitz, glamour and razzmatazz will be televised from 14th May to 18th May, 2012 only on BIG MAGIC

region. After the city auditions, 4 cluster auditions were held, from which 12 young voices were The show kicked off several months ago with auditions that were held across 14 cities in the selected for the 38 episode show on BIG MAGIC. The esteemed jury members consisted of popular music director Jatin Pandit, who is responsible for gifting the music industry with some of the brightest talent; Padma Bhushan Classical singer duo Rajan-Sajan Mishra, with their rich singing talent and Pandit Gulshan Bharti as the mentor for the budding children. Together these alchemists searched and selected some of the precious gems that the region possessed.

After weeks of training, turmoil, tears and joys, fun & fame, its time for the final episodes. The episode opens with the 3 judges reciting Saraswati Vandana, an invocation for the Top 3 finalists. The judges who mentored and watched the young performers want the best from them. The special guest of the finale, Malini Awasthi, the famous playback singer from the region, sang a Lord Rama bhajan. While the top 3 contenders seemed calm and composed, literally awaiting their turns to perform for the last time on the show, the judges had a trying time analyzing their performances. The young stars of today, waiting in the wings to take off, are grateful for the opportunity they got to showcase their talent. The first performer Prateeksha sang saanso ki maala pe simroon main pee ka naamPrajwal, performed to Wadali Brothers- tu mane ya na mane dildara and Pooja performed to- jai jai jag janni deviThe guest of the evening, Malini Awasthi, appreciated performances of the TOP 3 Finalists. She applauded and cheered the little performers whose devotional singing left her speechless. After all not always do we have little children sing devotional songs so flawlessly!

The finale also saw the return of some of the eliminated Bal Kalakaars who came to support their 3 friends and also performed teri hai zameen tera aasmaan The jam-packed evening also witnessed some fabulous Qawwali; Charkula performance, where a lady performs with lot of diyas on her head! Theres also a fine Kathak performance among others.

As the evening reaches its crescendo all eyes await the announcement of the winner.
