Go On A Europe Trip Whenever You Can
When given an opportunity, go and visit the old world as we know it
. Vacationing in Europe is something you must do in your lifetime as there are many sites to see here and knowing about its history and how it relates to today's culture you can see the many ties that keeps it together.
For example, in terms of architecture, the Europeans have been influential in setting the trends for centuries. In the 15th and 16th century, in the midst of the Renaissance, the craftsmanship of the Italians was highlighted in everyday things at home, beautifying them. This can be seen in such beautiful items as crystal chandeliers or seemingly normal items like crystal door knobs.
If given an opportunity, try touching a crystal door knob and feel how smooth the knob is, and sense its symmetry yet uniqueness in the knob. By doing so, you will realize why crystal door knobs are still popular to this day, after being introduced 500 years ago.
Here are some ideas and tips that may be useful to you when planning a trip to Europe:
- Plan ahead of time. If you already know the dates when you want to leave, you can make an early booking and save money on airfare. If travelling by train, purchase a month long Euro pass which saves you money as well. Try to plan your trip and determine which countries you would like to go to. Remember that you may not want to spread yourself too thin by planning to go to as many countries as you possibly can. If you plan to travel for a month, spend at least a week in a country for a total of four countries to visit. This is good so you can immerse yourself in the culture of the country.
- Do your research about the places you want to visit. The internet is the world's biggest library of information that is easy to access. Go and find out which are the nice places to visit in the country you intend to stay. Plan out a route as some places may be far from each other. It is important to know some key phrases in the native language if you plan to visit a country wherein English is not the main language. These days, there are universal translators that you can bring with you. If not, use the internet and learn some of the phrases yourself. The locals will appreciate your effort to learn the language and it will make your trip easier.
