Panaji

The capital city of Goa, Panaji is a favored destination where tourists come in great number. It boasts of picturesque beaches, churches, scenic beauty and carnival. Located on the bank of Mandovi river, Panaji has some famous attractions like the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, museum, Miramar, Dona Paula and the Calangute Beach and last but not the least Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary.

Vasco-da-Gama

It is a well-laid out town which was named in honor of the Portuguese explorer and the former viceroy, Dom Vasco-da-Gama. Sambhaji was its original name which was later changed to Vasco-da-Gama. Its must-visit attractions are a 400-year-old St Andrew Church, Bogmalo beach, the Naval Aviation Museum, churches, temples, mosques, and monuments such as- Buddhist caves, Cabo de Rama and Rivona.

Margao

It is the second largest city of Goa where tourists come to see ancient Portuguese churches, Church of the Holy spirit (with amazing architectural beauty), beautiful farming villages, Hindu temples and Colva and Benaulim beaches. It is also the main commercial city of this state.

Arambol

Visit this Arambol fishing village and you will be rewarded with the mesmerizing sights of steep cliffs, palm groves, white sand and lashing sea waves. Arambol beach is popular for its dolphins, captivating surroundings and sea shells. There is also a hot water spring near the beach. It is a perfect place to get acquainted with village culture. For adventure you can indulge in boat ride, paragliding and dolphin sighting.

Canacona

This destination is known for Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary which is a home to wildlife species such as panther, wild boar, leopard, porcupines, hyena, sloth bear etc. It is the second largest wildlife of the state. Poloem beach is another attraction of this place which offers great opportunities for water sports. And if you wish to get glimpses of dolphin, visit the Cavelossim beach. And to enjoy night camping under the star studded sky, visit Agonda beach. This destination also has some beautiful Hindu temples.
