This disease appears in the form of tiny little white spots in the skin and fin of the goldfish. If you do not offer treatment in the initial stages, this disease can turn deadly. Ich is actually parasite which feeds on the body of the fish. These parasites multiply very quickly and can infect all the fish in your aquarium. This is why you must take adequate steps as soon as possible before the disease ruins your entire fish tank. Moreover, it is crucial that whenever you buy a new fish for your aquarium you need to inspect it carefully in order to ensure that it does not carry Ich with it to your fish tank.

Another common goldfish disease is fin rot. This disease is a bacterial infection and generally takes place in a particular injured portion of a fin. So if you have fish in your aquarium which bite your goldfish's fin you must be extra careful in watching out for this disease. Carefully monitor the fins of your goldfish on a regular basis to notice any sigh of fin rot. If left untreated fin rot can kill your goldfish very quickly.

There are some goldfish who naturally posses big bulging eyes. However, there is a goldfish disease which is known as Popeye. It can happen to goldfish as well as to other species of fish in your aquarium. If you happen to see that the eyes of your fishes are sticking out a little bit more than what is normal then it is good for you to put that fish in a separate hospital tank and do not allow other fish to come in its contact until it is cured.
