There is still a victory by a guy fresh on our minds. That's Atwal from India got the Wyndham victory in 2010.
In the Wyndham Championship, many players came to it for a push into the PGA Tour's playoffs.
But Arjun Atwal was different, for he came here for his goal that's his spot on tour. He became the first Monday qualifier to win on the tour in 24 years, for his victory at Sedgefield Country by a stroke.
Atwal shot a 3-under 67 in the final round after his leading or sharing the lead after each of the first three rounds. In this match, the amount of money he earned was more than double that he made the whole year. That's the reason why his future had been in jeopardy.
He said that once he had told to his caddie that they had lost nothing. And they just tried and got the victory.
Arjun Atwal won on tour as the first Indian-born player. Moreover, he was also the first one who won both the qualifier and the tournament.
David Toms, John Mallinger and Michael Sim, John Rollins, Justin Leonard, all of whom shared the lead at 18 under for a few a few dizzying moments.
