In capturing solo subjects, you can zoom in on the subject itself so as to acquire a greater deal of detail.

And then the next thing which you should consider is the lighting. Photography is better when you know how to use the right kind of light to accentuate your subjects. It is always best to use indirect lighting when shooting indoors. Make sure that you utilize the flash function as well so that you can have a clearer and brighter picture. When you have outdoor shoots make sure that your subjects are not facing the sun's glare so that they will not be squinting in the picture.

Third thing you have to remember is the angle. Make it a habit to move around your subject and try to find the best angle to shoot your subject from. Since newer cameras have a higher storage capacity which does not utilize film, you can shoot from every conceivable angle which you would want. People as subjects will have their best angles and as a photographer you should be able to discover which their best one is.

Never forget that the three important things when taking a photo are content, lighting and the angle. Do not be afraid to make mistakes when shooting pictures since this is the only way to learn. It requires a huge amount of practice in order to be better at your craft. Taking picture is a skill which may be developed and improved upon through time.
