The benefit of this is you may be able to detect anything that is out of the ordinary because you know your partner so well. This in turn may enable you to defuse any issues much quicker.
Get to know one another, you dont have to share everything but being able to openly talk will help your relationship grow stronger. Those that spend time at home but not together are missing out on some great times together and they will eventually drift apart over time.
