Goodwill & Hook N Sling Release "take You Higher", A Single With An Elevating Effect

Anthony Maniscalco, better known in the music industry as Hook N Sling

, is a DJ and record producer from Sydney, Australia. In 2012 the artist moved to Los Angeles, California, from Australia's picturesque Bondi Beach. Hook N Sling produces variations of music styles within the electro-house music genre and has released numerous singles and remixes in his fairly short career that started its take off in 2006.

Hook N Sling went through a transition of being a simple aspiring disc jockey to an on-demand DJ in just a few short years. The DJ has produced remixes for some of the most renowned acts in the music industry including Miike Snow, Calvin Harris, Miami Horror, Fedde Le Grand and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool. The influential and celebrated Ministry of Sound Annual by Ministry of Sound had Hook N Sling mix the compilation in 2010; the DJ has work with MoS on various occasions.

The progression of Hook N Sling's career has been steady; the artist has performed in numerous important festivals and venues such as Space Ibiza and Pacha both located in Ibiza, Spain, and at the Stereosonic festival and Future Music Festival in Australia. Hook N Sling has also toured the United States and played at the Music Box in Los Angeles, California.

The reality is that Hook N Sling really started to take off in 2011 when he began his tour in the US and in 2012 he has made his presence felt in the charts, especially with his single released in 2011 entitled "Take You Higher". Hook N Sling produced this song with fellow Australian producer Goodwill. This chill house jam delivers dreamy and mellow elements that make you want to kick back; however, the song's upbeat tempo makes for an energy-filled musical trip that captures you with melancholia and elevates you.

"Take You Higher" was recorded under La Musique Fait La Force record label. The song uses samples from Australian song "Big Jet Plane" released by duo Angus & Julie Stone. Goodwill and Hook N Sling's "Take You Higher" was written by Angus Stone, William Cate and Julia Stone. The single was officially released in October, 2011.

This song peaked at number three on both the Ultratop 50 chart from Flanders, Belgium, and the Polish Airplay Top 5 chart from Poland. "Take You Higher" also reached number five on the Ultratop 40 chart from Wallonia, Belgium. In the Netherlands the song got on the Mega Single Top 100 chart peaking at number eighty-two. A music video for the single was filmed in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The video was shot on the east coast of NSW and it was directed by Benn Jae. It premiered in November, 2011.
