An algorithm tries to predict what the rest of the query might be based on popular queries typed by other users. The predicted text is shown in light grey in the search box, and search results and ads are automatically shown for that predicted query.

1. At the right end of the search box where you type query, you will see Instant in on link, click that link drop and select off to disable instant search suggestions as you type.

2. Another method to remove or turn off Google instant search from Google search preferences, visit the preferences page here and scroll down to locate Google Instant now select the option Do not use Google Instant. Now click Save Preferences to save these settings.
