Yes, just as Google itself told, the reason why Google Street View cars repeatedly photographed was to offer the latest news and the most accurate street names as well as road signs. However, recently news begins to swirl that Google Germany's Street View would stop. Despite Google Street View itself was adjudicated lawful by a German court, but Google still announced its decision on cancelling further updates of Germany's Street View service.

"Google adjusted the focus, the focus now is to use the street cars to collect information such as street names and road signs, to provide users basic mapping service, the service is similar to other map companies." Google spokesman said.

Google plans to continue offering 20 cities' street service in Germany. Yet it won't do any updates. So far, it's still not clear that if it's the final decision or if Google is to change it in the future.

Except for those new priorities, Google did not explain why it stopped Google Street View in Germany. An easily deduced reason leading to this decision, seems to be that Google Street View service might encounter difficulties, because the moment Google declared its German Street View service, opposite voices were shouted out by the German officials. Finally, Google agreed on opting out the online pictures with residence buildings of the Germans.
