Internet search engine giants Google have once again updated their service to bring searching within search engines into the modern world.

Google have announced that they have rolled out Google Instant, a new addition to the software that means that as you type your search term into the search box, Google searches as you type.

Although many think that this is a minor addition to their service, a closer look means that you can see exactly how helpful it can be as well as the amount of time that you will save while using the latest addition.

Instant searching isn't brand new technology with a number of websites already offering such a service, domain availability tools coming to mind.

Okay so they are one of the biggest powerhouses within the internet world and its not exactly making the results flood to your screen simply by thinking about them just yet but the Google Instant alteration is a great one in our book.

So what does Google Instant mean for your search results?

Well now that Google are searching for your keywords/search term while you type, you will see a number of sites jumping throughout the listings, so for example a site that features within the top search result spot for one term might not feature at the top for the plural version of the term.

This means that websites are getting that additional exposure that simply wasn't available while the results were what can only be referenced to as static, static referencing to the fact that they were still after the user had hit the search button.

As well as Google searching for the results that you need while you type, they also try to offer you assistance in your search, predicting what you might be looking for.

This is great as is able to help with the spelling and search term selection for users who are uncertain about what they are searching for exactly.
