Googles Social Engagement Report

In June 2011, Google announced that they will be adding a new feature to help individuals and track performances on social media sites

. By using the Social Plugin Analytics in Google Analytics, a social engagement report is created allowing tracking and comparing of the various ways people share the content on your site on social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and when they use Googles new +1 button.

Benefits of the Social Engagement Report

The Social Engagement report will allow you to see how visitors from social networks behave on your site, for example how long they stay on there. This will allow your SEO service provider to evaluate which social network sites work best for your site, allowing for greater search engineSEO companies optimization (SEO).

SEO can also be enhanced as the Social Actions report that is included will allow you to see what actions are taken on the site, allowing you or your SEO company to prioritize share buttons and their position on your site.
