Singles, do you believe it's never going to work without that initial spark? A perfect example is what we see in movies. The couple spot each other from across the room, they both feel that spark and of course they live happily ever after.
However that spark is also called chemistry. Chemistry is a very fickle emotion. If she stops returning your calls the chemistry diminishes. If you don't call her when you said you would or can't remember what she told you yesterday, her feeling of chemistry disappears quite quickly.
What causes that spark? It's usually a feeling of connection due to recognition. She looks like your sisters, your mother or aunts or the girl next door or even your first love. He looks like your brothers, your father or uncles, the boy next door or your first love.
Some of my clients at my introduction agency, Entre Nous tell me that if there is no spark that he/she is not their type, they know instantly.
If you believe as I do, that it's very important to make friends first and that your partner should be your best friend, then take a look at all your friends. Did you decide immediately you met a new person that they were going to be a close friend? When you are young you might do that but once you are over 25 years of age you are more careful about who will be a close friend. You need to get to know them first and, very important; you want to know that you can trust them too.
Why is it that when it comes to meeting a prospective partner that, that same feeling of care goes out the window if you can feel that spark. It's almost as if one states, if there's chemistry that's all that matters.
When you look at your closest friends you will see that some of them did not impress you much at first, yet here they are your close friends. When you join a new club you will notice that the members may not impress you at first, until you see them perform. The top performers will go up in your estimation right away.
The same applies to meeting prospective single men and single women. The people who tell you how marvellous they are or charm you immediately are quite often the ones who have lots of faults to hide. The person who is a little hesitant or nervous may go unnoticed at first because of their shyness, however still waters run deep.
To find that hidden treasure, it is worth the effort to dig deep. Give people time to relax with you, and then look for their good qualities.
Did you know that shy people don't look very attractive? The facial muscles stiffen and they lose their attractiveness. Give a person time to relax and they will become more attractive.
Don Juan, the greatest lover in the world was loved by women of all ages. He would draw out the best qualities in each woman he met and show his appreciation. He knew how to bring out the best in everyone. You too can do that with practice.
Forget about that initial spark. Don't look for chemistry; it will come when you can admire someone for their good qualities. To find those qualities takes time because you have to look for them.
