When asked what made him decide to go into dentistry, he says that his attraction to the profession probably came from the years he spent undergoing orthodontic treatment following an automobile accident as a child. Dr. Rieck attended Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS. After graduation, he returned to his hometown of Grand Rapids and established his practice in Grandville in 1979.
