2. Choose Your Edge Detail - The front edge detail of the working surface is very important to the overall look of the kitchen. Cabinetry door style neds to be considered when choosing this detail. For instance, a Shaker style door would look best with a square edge. The substructure can then be fully plywood lined to add strength to the counter unit.
3. Choose Your Cutouts - Top mount or bottom mount? Cut outs are where the sink(s) go.
4. Seal Your Granite - Do it immediately. A good stone company will offer a few suggestions for sealing products depending on the kind of stone you have.
5. Maintain Your Stone - Granite can stain, but it doesn't have to. Clean up oily spills with water and a mild soap rinse.
