Great Gift Ideas For Graduation

My niece has reached the age where she is graduating from high school and looking forward to the future

. Since she is the first and only niece so she really does have a lot of stuff already and I was at a loss as to what would be the best possible gift. A friend asked if I had considered charm bracelets as an option, and it just clicked in my head that this would be a wonderful gift. I looked at some books on charm bracelets and decided that I would make the theme success and the future.

I thought the best idea would be to structure the bracelet like the charm bracelets I loved that told a personal story. Instead of starting from her birth, I was going to start from her graduation day.

Although I have always loved gold charm bracelets and gold charms, she is more of a silver jewelry person. I think silver charm bracelets are a great match for a younger woman, so this is definitely the way I am going to go.

The silver charm bracelet I have in mind is going to start with an actual graduation certificate charm. I am going to engrave the date of her graduation on the back of the charm, and then also right beside it I am going to add a cute little graduation cap charm, complete with tassel.

The next charm on the bracelet, which will probably be quite full when I get through, is going to be a key charm. I know which one it will be, a longer skeleton type of key with a small diamond chip in the top. This is to symbolize the key to success which I know that she holds. Like most charm bracelets, I am going to mix and match the charms with regards to styles and sizes to give a balanced look.

I know that she really wants to be a veterinarian or to work with animals, and is actually going to be working with an animal shelter over the summer. Adding a cat and a dog charm let her know I think she would be great in this profession is certainly a must.

As with most charm bracelets, I am going to also put a few charms on with inspirational sayings. These charms are really important to me as I am going to use her heroes as the sources for the quotes that I choose.

Putting together charm bracelets is really a great way to learn about someone. I have such high hopes for my niece and I hope when she sees the gift she understands how much she means to me.
