Great Greenside Bunker Play And Lower Your Ball Flight in Windy Conditions

As most ecperienced golfers know, three great words for greenside bunker play are face, base and pace! The loft and distance are primarily created by those theer key elements:

How much we open our clubface - - Face

How much we open our body and stance - - Base

The speed of our swing - - Pace

That is the three most important thing.

For a higher and shorter bunker shot, we significantly open the face and base and swing at a somewhat slower pace. For a medium height and medium length bunker shot we slightly open the face and base, then swing at a medium pace. When faced with a long greenside bunker shot with a low lip, address the ball with more of a square face and base then swing at an aggressive pace.

Next time you are in a greenside bunker keep these three simple and important words in mind and you will be on your way to more "up-and-downs" leading to lower scores!

The 12th fairway, on The Ocean Course, is very elevated and you can feel the affects of the wind a whole lot more here than on other parts of the course. One thing you will see a lot of players doing here when playing under windy conditions is trying to control their ball flight by hitting the ball with a little flatter trajectory.

The average golfer does too many things incorrectly in an effort to control the flight of their ball:Moving the ball back in their stance Hooding or closing down the face of the club. Trying to hit the ball harder than their normal swing. Then you will get what you want, a controlled flying ball. (http://topgolfclubs.net/)
