Manila is an incredibly diverse and beautiful city and it attracts people from all over the world

. It is the capital of the Philippines and is also one of the great cities of the world. In actuality, there are sixteen cities that make up the urban area, though Manila is the most prominent of them. It is also the cultural center of the country. Together, the cities make up one of the largest metropolitan regions in the world and they have a combined population of somewhere around twenty million people. By any standards, that is extremely large. And it only makes sense that there is a large amount of contemporary cultural attractions and establishments as well as some important traditional heritage landmarks.

Although it is incredibly large and has the highest population density in the world, Manila maintains a substantial amount of park space. The city has plenty of beautiful and lush gardens, parks, and recreation areas. Together, the Manila Zoo and Botanical Garden form one of the most popular areas for tourists. This is due not only to their beauty but also to the enormous conservation and educational efforts they put forth. Other major parks in the city include the Rajah Sulayman Park, Mehan Garden, Manila Boardwalk and Paco Park. However, what is most likely the symbolically important recreational area in the city is Rizal Park, and its central monument that stands tall in honor of the country's national hero, Jose Rizal demonstrates this.

Other major attractions and cultural establishments in the city include the National Museum of the Philippines. The museum was established in 1901 and serves as the official repository of natural history for the Philippines. It is located next to Rizal Park and is extremely easy to access from it. It is housed in a building that was designed by an American architect named Daniel Burnham. Manila Ocean Park is one of the favorite places to visit for tourists and it is famous for the variety of marine life and animals that are housed there. Each of these are fairly easy to get to from various hotels in Manila
