Living in Urbane apartments in Birmingham provides a great opportunity to see and participate in all that the area has to offer

. Urbane is well within walking distance to downtown. The walk is only about 20 minutes through quiet neighborhoods and into the bustling downtown streets.

On the weekends, I enjoy taking a book with me and grabbing a spot on a downtown bench. Of course one of my favorite places to pick up a book is at public library. The Baldwin Public Library has a great collection of everything that one might expect from a public library: fiction, non-fiction, reference, audiobooks and ebooks. In addition to the typical library spread, the BPL offers seminars on using databases to save you money; Roth IRA conversion and How to use Gmail.

For kids and teens, the library offers homework helper, Skylab Star Tours, Stories from Around the World and basic research help. There are plenty of other programs for kids, teens, adults and seniors. More information can be found at the BPLs website.
