Laser pen is something loved by everyone. It is a great toy and at the same time it can help you in highlighting the things of interest. Green laser pen is one of the most usual kinds of Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) laser. Well, moving ahead, I am here to share my experience with you guys, so you can make a better decision, if you should get one or not yet.

I have recently read regarding green laser pens because of the "heat up" time mine appears to call for. When you open the laser pointer, it projects beam quite brighter than red color (5 mW common pen), though, completely depending upon the temperature of ambient, it rapidly grows darker and in about 5 to 30 seconds it gets full powerful beam. And without any second thought I can easily say that if you are in dark room, this green laser beam is enough to guide, you just turn it to ceiling. Once pen has gained full power, you can easily see beam visible even in the not so dark sky (I am dwelling in a mid-sized city).

No matter, if it is a cloudy day, still you can see green laser beam, and the results would be great if you project beam on a lighter color surface. My puppy loves to chase it, we often play in daytime, and he can easily see the beam.

The most important thing to keep in mind when playing with the beam is, do not project the beam in someone's eyes. Be careful! It would bring you very dangers effects. Its reflecting ability is good, even, if you are projecting the beam on non-reflective surface.

The one I own has the ability to raise a thermometer twelve (12) degrees simply by shinning into the bulb of thermometer. As well, try carefully when shining it into any lava lamp, be careful from its reflections, and enjoy the laser color change within. Emitting it in a pond or lake is interesting as well, as the beam refract into water it is brighter than you see in the air and it really looks amazing.

To conclude, I would say, green laser pen is designed with diligence. I received it with almost all needed accessories, including small LED flashlight, powerful AAA alkaline batteries, cloth and a case to keep it safe. The only negative thing I observed is, you may get it the brightest within few seconds, and I think it should get the fullest beam as it is opened. However, for this price, I would say go for it. Incase of any minute issue with light I won't stop me from giving it 5/5. Thumbs up!
