Greg Oden's Injuries Have Been Non-Incidental

Greg Oden underwent a microfracture surgery on his right knee during the summer of 2007, the reasons leading up to the surgery were non-specific and non-incidental. Recently, it was announced that Greg Oden will be undergoing another microfracture surgery, this time on his left knee, and this surgery which is a major procedure also was being performed under non-incidental circumstances. The only thing that was said about this surgery was that it will be fixing an articular cartilage defect in Greg Oden's knee.

After a recent intensive workout session for a game against the Lakers, Greg Oden had been experiencing swelling in his knee, and an MRI scan revealed a hole in the articular cartilage of his left knee. Greg Oden, his trainers and his doctors, do not know the reason for these two similar injuries that he has suffered, and they are shocked at these seemingly career-ending turn of events for Portland's awesome center.
