Grenoble is a small and beautiful city situated in the southeastern France
. Situated on the foot of French Alps where Drac River joins Isre. Being located near to the mountains it is also known as "Capital of Mountains". This city is located in the Rhne-Alpes region and is the capital of department of Isre. This region has a history of more than 2000 years and it has experienced a rapid and enormous growth during 18th and 19th century. This growth was symbolized in X Winter Olympic Games in 1968. The city is a scientific center of Europe.

La Bastille:
It is a series of collections or annexed territories that are located on the mountainside. It is one of most popular tourist destinations in Grenoble. It offers a good experience for viewing the surrounding mountains and nearby towns. La Bastille was started in the middle age and later on several additions were made to it. It has been credited with most extensive example of French fortification of 18th century and is still an important strategic point on the Alpine Frontier.
Palace of the Parliament of Dauphin:
It was constructed in 14th to 15th century and was a location for the parliament of Dauphin until French Revolution. Later on in 19th century, this palace was further enhanced. Today this building serves as Isre Council (Conseil Gnral de l'Isre).
Museum of Grenoble:
This museum is known for its collections of paintings that has covered the artistic evolution. There are many famous Greek and Roman artifacts on display here.
Economy of Grenoble:
Grenoble is one of the Europe's leading centers for high-tech industries, especially bio and nano-technologies. Several famous companies are located here. This town is famous for its glove-making. Several companies like Hewlett Packard (HP), STMicroelectronics, Schneider Electric and many more have their offices in this city.
