Adolescence is the period of life when people want to have everything and at once, the emotional and physical condition seems so great that the bottle of beer or one try of drugs may change nothing. Nevertheless, this first try may result in unpredictable consequences connected to addiction. There are great many of different ways for treatment of those who were caught in a net of temptation and addiction. Nevertheless, it is much better to prevent students from being involved in the problem than think about the ways to solve it.

Groups of interests as the means to avert the problem

To avoid alcohol and drugs addiction students should be involved in something. No matter what it is, let it be learning, books reading, chemistry or mathematics study groups, dancing, sports or any other field s. Much more important that students are interested in something and do not hang around looking for additional impressions.

Many parents do not understand how mathematics or crocheting may prevent children from taking drugs and drinking alcohol. Everything is very simple. Being interested in something, students will not search for any other emotions, they have already found them.

Is boredom and unhappiness a reason for addiction?

Being unhappy, a person seeks for something that may bring him/her positive emotions. Alcohol and drugs are the friends that may always be near. The same happens with boredom. Many happy and wealthy students end with drugs and alcohol as they are tired of emotions they have used to.

Thus, it may be concluded that boredom and unhappiness are the main enemies for college life as it is the first step for drugs and alcohol addiction. Students may perpetually reject the idea of the possibility to be involved into fatal life, still, it is better to be admonished and find the group of interest when it is not too late.
